Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation
Your heart is a muscle that demands the same attention as any other muscle in your body—take care of it, and it will take care of you. Gateway Regional Medical Center’s cardiopulmonary rehabilitation program is dedicated to helping patients with a history of cardiac and pulmonary issues get the information, motivation, encouragement and guidance they need to help their hearts—and lifestyles—be healthier.
Gateway Regional Medical Center’s Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation program offers a wide range of services close to home. If you’ve had a recent valve repair or replacement, heart transplant, stenting, angioplasty, open heart surgery, heart attack, angina, or congestive heart failure, our cardiopulmonary rehabilitation specialists will work with you to develop a program that works for you.
Our cardiac rehabilitation professionals (including a medical doctor, registered nurses, respiratory therapists and registered dieticians) provide customized care for all our cardiac patients in all phases of recovery.
Program goals include:
- Preventing negative physical and psychological effects of inactivity
